On January 13th 2009, Joseph Saryuf, the man behind Sinjitos Records that produced and mixed some of the most high-acclaimed albums in recent times was interviewed on Bekti Show on Trax FM in his capacity as the most promising music producer and sound engineer that emerged from Indonesian music scene recently.
In the interview, Saryuf revealed that his motivation to produce music is because he is believes that local music should be produced as well as international releases. His first production experience was producing C'mon Lennon's first album “Ketika La..La..La.” in 2006. Started from there, he produced and mixed many local releases from Teenage Death Star, Amazing In Bed, and Ghaust as well as bands from his own Sinjitos Records label such as Santamonica, Gugun and The Blues Bug, Monkey to Millionaire, and The Porno. All of the album he produced and mixed received praised from local music publications and industry, both from musical and production point of views.
For his works, Joseph Saryuf had awarded with two AMI Awards nomination for his works with C'mon Lennon and Santamonica in 2006 and 2008. As admitted by musicians that worked with him, Saryuf undestands what the musicians wants and make it even bigger and grander. In the show, Saryuf also showcases some of his works, from the more famous names like Santamonica and Monkey to Millionaire to lesser known bands like The Black Mustang, Denial, and Roman Foot Soldiers.
